1What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing that promotes relaxation and reduces stress. The word Reiki in Japanese means spiritually guided life energy. The Reiki healer “lays hands” on the client transferring vibrational “life force energy” creating a peaceful environment within that promotes healing on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Everything in the universe, including ourselves, can be understood in terms of vibrational energy. We are all energetic beings full of the universal life force energy that breathes life into us. When energy flows freely within we are vibrant, happy and healthy. We have a strong connection to our higher power; have gratitude for the gift of life, joy in our heart, love for all things, and clear purpose in life. When energy is stagnant or blocked, we get stressed, sick and ill. We tend to feel fearful, angry, confused, lack real direction in life and do not have a strong connection with our higher power.
During a treatment one feels like a wonderful gleam of light flowing through and around you. Some report a warm, tingling sensation where the hands are administered. Reiki goes to the root cause of any issue and treats the whole person mind, body and soul. Some of the beneficial effects include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have also reported miraculous results even after one session.
2Where does Reiki come from?
Reiki energy is a subtle yet powerful energy. Reiki energy comes from God, the Higher Power, or Supreme Being, which exists on a higher level of consciousness than what we experience in the physical world. This energy exists within and available to all of us. In order to tap into this infinite supply of healing energy we must connect to the transcendental part of ourselves, our higher self, which exists in our highest levels of consciousness.
3What is Holy Fire® Reiki?
Usui Holy Fire® Reiki is a modern form of Reiki that was introduced by William Lee Rand from the International Center for Reiki Training. It is a modern evolved form of Reiki that incorporates the traditional Usui Reiki teachings. Holy Fire® Reiki has no lineage as it comes directly from Source/God and the Holy Spirit. The word “holy” means whole and complete in Old English and this is the meaning of Holy Fire Reiki. In conclusion Holy Fire is a powerful transcendental spiritual energy that creates self-connected wholeness through purification, internal healing, self-empowerment, and intuitive guidance. Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Ryoho lineage is Usui Sensei. Holy Fire Reiki energy is unlike any other Reiki energy you may have experienced. It is undeniably more refined and comes from a very high level of consciousness.
4Is Reiki a religion?
Reiki is a spiritual practice but is not a religion. There is no dogma or belief system that you must follow in order to learn and use Reiki. All that is required is faith in a higher power, your connection to the Divine and an open heart. Since Reiki comes from God most people find that learning Reiki gives them a stronger connection to their religion or faith.
Practitioners are free to maintain their religious beliefs and encouraged to make their own decisions regarding their religious practices. There is only one universal truth that all Reiki practitioners must accept. We are all one and should live and act in a way to promote harmony with each other.
5How is a Reiki Healing treatment given?
During a Reiki Healing Treatment Holy Fire Reiki energy is channeled and transferred to the client through my hands while the client lays comfortably on a massage table. The client remains fully clothed throughout the session and places her/his hands on or near the client’s body in a series of hand positions. In some instances, the hands may not touch the client as the energy is needed in the emotional, mental or spiritual bodies as opposed to the physical body. There are two treatments available that last 60 or 90 minutes. My Reiki healing treatments in Florida combine Holy Fire Reiki, Energy Medicine and Crystal Healing to provide a synergistic healing effect on the client’s entire celestial and auric field. Energy Medicine is that practice of using sacred geometry to balance and heal the aura. Sacred geometry extends from infinite awareness itself. They contain universal codes that transcend the physical to provide powerful healing benefits to the recipient. Crystal healing is an alternative medical technique in which crystals are used to cure and protect against illness. Crystals act as powerful healing tools which purge negative, disease-causing energy while simultaneously drawing positive healing energy to the recipient. While most of Western science focuses on the addressing symptoms of illness, energy healing addresses the root cause. As a Reiki Master and energy healer I aim to re-establish the perfect frequencies of my client’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy fields back to the original level of unconditional love thus releasing unwanted imbalances. During the treatment I will scan your auric field for any imbalances in your chakras and auric field. After the session you will feel relaxed as if a weight has lifted. All chakras will be clear and I will discuss in detail which chakras were out of balance and give you tips on how to maintain balance in between sessions.
6What does a Reiki treatment in Florida feel like?
Everyone has a unique energetic imprint therefore what one experiences during a Reiki treatment varies from person to person. At the very least every client feels an overwhelming feeling of deep relaxation. Many also feel a warm, wonderful radiant light that flows through and surrounds them giving them a feeling of peace within. All tension, fear, anger, anxiety and other negative feelings dissolve as your body drifts into its normal peaceful harmonious state. The result is a state of self-connected wholeness.
7What is a healing crisis and can that happen to me after a Reiki session?
Normally one will feel relaxed and uplifted after a Reiki session in Winter Garden; FL but there is occasions where one will have a healing crisis. This simply means that as the person’s vibrations go up, the buildup of toxins that was stored in the body is being released. If this occurs a person may feel a headache, stomach pain or weakness. One should not be alarmed as this is a normal response to the cleansing process and a sign the internal healing is taking place. If this happens the client must drink plenty of water, eat lighter meals and get more rest. After the process takes its course one will feel lighter with increased vigor and energy.

9In what ways can Reiki heal me?
By channeling the universal life force energy Reiki has the capacity to heal every aspect of the body. These are some ways Reiki can heal:

10How many sessions are recommended to feel the benefits of Reiki?
It is recommended that one take four consecutive sessions to tackle any chronic condition. Once the client starts to feel improvement once a week is a good program. Everyone comes in with different circumstances so there are times one can feel the benefits after one session. Those suffering from long term conditions may take more time to heal.
11What is Reiki Distant Healing and how does it work?
Reiki can be administered even if the client is not physically present. This is done through Distant Reiki Healing. In the spiritual realm time and space do not exist. The trained Reiki Master healer can instantaneously connect with the client wherever they are located.
The breakthroughs of Quantum Physics are teaching us what spiritual teachers across many ancient civilizations have known all along. Everything in this universe is interconnected into an invisible web. All living beings are made of the same quantum material constantly exchanging information in a vast sea of energy. Information about all aspects of life from cellular communication, to the vast ray of controls of DNA, is relayed through an information exchange on a quantum level.
Quantum physics has proven that the manifest universe arises out of this whole. Since we are inseparable parts of the whole, the trained healer, enters into a holistic state of being, becoming the whole, and taps into the creative powers of the universe to instantaneously heal anyone anywhere.
At the time of the session it is asked that the client be laying down in a quiet place in order to be more receptive and open to receiving the Reiki energy. During the session you may feel actual sensations of the work happening and this is quite normal. Benefits of distant Reiki are the same as in person and include but are not limited to feeling peaceful, quieting of mind, relieving stress and anxiety, reducing or eliminating pain and improve sleep.
12Is it safe for Reiki to be administered to pregnant women?
Yes, Reiki is not only safe but very beneficial to receive during pregnancy. Reiki comes from a higher level of consciousness so the energy will know what the client will require and adjust accordingly. Pregnant women who have taken the Reiki classes have also expressed receiving many benefits from having received the attunements. The most beneficial of which were having a peaceful, relaxing pregnancy and delivery of baby.
13How do I prepare for my Reiki session to maximize the effectiveness and benefits?

14Does one have to stop seeing a regular doctor or psychologist in order to receive Reiki?
No. It is recommended that if one does need medical or psychological treatment that they seek a licensed health care professional. Receiving regular Reiki sessions can work in conjunction with these treatments to accelerate the healing process. Reiki energy works in harmony with all other forms of healing, including drugs, surgery, psychological care or any other method of alternative care and is proven to improve the results.
Reiki Training FAQs
1Can anyone learn Reiki?
Anyone can learn Reiki. You don’t need to have a specific set of skills prior to learning Reiki. For example, you don’t need to know how to meditate or have a specific wealth of knowledge in spirituality or metaphysics in order to learn Reiki. The ability is simply passed on from the master teacher to the student. As soon as this happens, one can do Reiki.
2What classes do I need to take to learn Reiki?
A beginner’s class is Reiki 1 (Shoden) and is usually taught in one day full day. Class usually lasts 6-7 hours long depending on how many people in the class. Reiki 2 class (Okuden) is the Intermediate class which is also completed in one full day. Both classes are usually scheduled on a weekend back to back.
There are no pre-requisites to take Reiki 1 however you must obtain certification for Reiki 1 before registering for the Reiki 2 class. Some students opt to take both classes together in a two-day intensive class but this is optional. I give my students the option to take Reiki 1 and 2 separately if desired.
The ART/Master certification class is done as a three-day workshop. Students must have received certifications for Reiki 1 & 2 as well as practice Reiki for at least 6 months before registering for the Reiki ART/Master class.
During each class each student receives an attunement or placement and is shown how to give treatments with ample practice time. For more information on class descriptions please go to the Reiki Classes page.
3What is a Reiki attunement or placement?
There is a fundamental difference between how Reiki is taught and how other healing modalities are taught. Reiki must be transferred to the student by the Reiki Master during an attunement process. This process opens energetic pathways through the student’s auric field to create a special connection between the student and the Reiki source. The main chakras that are activated are the crown, third eye, heart and palm chakras. After the attunement process students typically mention seeing vibrant violet, indigo, white, green and gold lights which are all associated with these chakras.
The attunement is given to the student by the Reiki Master during each Reiki class. In Holy Fire® III Reiki attunements have been replaced by placements or ignitions. Placements are given in Reiki 1 & 2 while ignitions are given in the ART/Master class. During the placement the Reiki Master channels the Holy Fire® energy so that it can be installed into the student’s spirit. The main difference between receiving an attunement and a placement is that during a placement the Reiki Master does not physically touch the student.
The Reiki Master will facilitate a small guided meditation to get the student in a receptive state and allow the Holy Fire Reiki energy to take over. This process installs the Holy Fire Reiki® energy into the student so he/she can use for energy healing.
During the placement some students experience warmth in the hands; others may see colors or have visions of ascended spiritual beings or angels. However, it is not necessary to have an inner experience for the placement to have worked. Most students simply feel more relaxed. The placement can also increase a student’s intuition, open their third eye as well amplify other any additional psychic abilities they may have.
Once you have received a Reiki placement, you will have Reiki for the remainder of your life. While one placement is all you need for each level to be attuned to that level, it is very beneficial to receive additional placements. Experimentation has found that additional placements of the same level add to the value of that level including but not limited to refinement of the Reiki energy one is channeling, increased strength of the energy, healing of personal issues, open and clear mind, increased psychic sensitivity, and a higher level of consciousness and awareness.
The Reiki placement can start a cleansing process that purifies the aura including the physical, mental emotional and spiritual subtle bodies. The purification process consists of the release of toxins stored in the body along with feelings and unhealthy thought patterns that are not aligned with the Reiki energy. Therefore, a process of purification before the placement is recommended to improve the benefit one receives.
4How do I prepare for receiving a Reiki placement before class?
In order to improve the results you receive during the placement, a process of purification is recommended. This will allow the placement energies to work more efficiently and create greater benefits for you on your healing journey. The following steps are optional but recommended. As always follow your intuition for guidance on what feels right for you.

2. Consider a water or juice fast for one to three days especially if you already are a vegetarian or have experience with fasting.

1How do your facials differ from the traditional Western facial?
Facials at Au Naturale Spa is based on natural rejuvenation systems that are transformational in nature. They aim at not only addressing the symptoms of aging but also tackling the root cause. 2What is Self-Connected Wholeness?
Self-Connected Wholeness means coming into a form of balance and harmony within for health, beauty and longevity. I believe that the body knows how to heal itself and if we learn how to listen to it and support it, we can be our own healers. The key is to quiet the mind and get the body “settled” into that relaxed space within your heart. It is in this space that divine energy resides and where the healing magic happens.
3What is Nefeli Gua Sha?
Gua Sha is a technique used in traditional East Asian medicines that have a myriad of benefits for preventative skin health. Gua Sha moves stagnant Chi, or energy, in the skin to provide a natural youthful healthy glow. The holistic tool that I use is the Nefeli Miracle Touch Jade Stone Board, designed by Dr. Ping Zhang, anti-aging expert and Ph.D in Oriental Medicine. This holistic tool is made of Jade stone known by the Chinese to bring blessings to all it touches. Jade is also a very powerful cleansing stone used to aid in lymph health by removing toxins and balance the organs. Gua Sha is a staple in my facials due to its amazing healing effects, especially in preventing and treating the signs of aging such as wrinkles, sagging, puffiness, dark eye circles, uneven skin tone and for promoting contoured, toned, natural youthful glowing skin.
4What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD)?
Dr. Vodder coined the term Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) designed to facilitate the natural healing process by moving the flow of blood and lymph throughout the body. Lymphatic drainage massage is an extremely gentle, subtle and relaxing treatment. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the skin. Stagnation or blockages in the lymph nodes interfere with the filtration process which in turn increases the amount of toxins in the blood and lymph system wreaking havoc on your skin. A buildup of these fluids can cause unwanted acne, increased sebum levels, and blockages in the pores. The movement and circulation from an MLD massage reduces wrinkles, inflammation, puffiness, and acne while providing healthy glowing skin. This relaxing facial massage is included in my 90-minute facials.
5What is the Thai Herbal Poultice Massage?
The Thai Herbal Poultice Massage an advanced esthetic massage and facial therapy to reduce puffiness, combat fine lines, wrinkles and provides an overall natural face lift. The steamed herbal poultice filled with organic Thai botanicals feels like an aromatic explosion heaven melting the stress away from your tense muscles. An Eastern blend of acupressure and lymphatic drainage massage is used to further reduce swelling, dark circles and remove toxins while improving nutrition to the skin. The combined techniques soothe tight muscles, detoxify and stimulate circulation and muscle memory for long term results. This massage is included in my 90-minute facials.
6What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is method used in my Fountain of Youth facial where fine micro titanium steel needles penetrate the skin without major damage or pain. The microneedling pen creates microscopic channels to the skin which trigger the skin’s own repair system to rebuild and heal. 7How many sessions of Microneedling do you need to see the benefits?
Immediately after the treatment you will notice slight redness which will go away after 1-2 days with proper home care. Adding a 20-minute session of Reiki after treatment significantly reduces redness and downtime. The benefits will be noticeable right away but the clients with the most improved results use the home care kit that includes Stem Cell line from Onmacabim.
Stem cells are extremely important for the process of self-regeneration. The specific plant cells in the Onmacabim line enrich the behaviors of the epigenetic factors and turn on the signals of the micro environment in the skin. Cells that include growth factors which were previously dormant are instantly turned on. Stem cells help to fight against signs of aging, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by replenishing the skin’s natural stores of cytokines and proteins that can diminish as we age. The most noticeable effects occur after 3 sessions taken 4 – 6 weeks apart.
8What conditions prevent me from having a Microneedling session?
It is advised that those who have a history of chronic acne, eczema, psoriasis, herpes, Diabetes and raised moles, advanced rosacea and immune suppression diseases not do microneedling. In addition, those who have had laser less than 3 months, surgery, facial fillers or scars less than 6 months refrain from doing mircroneedling.
